Picture Day 2025

Picture Day is a time of excitement and anticipation for students of all ages. It’s a chance for pupils to dress up, show off their best smiles, and capture a moment in time they can cherish forever. Students from Pre-School to Secondary lined up with smiles and a touch of nervousness. The air buzzed with anticipation as everyone waited their turn, looking their absolute best! The photographer, a seasoned professional with a knack for making even the shyest student feel at ease, worked tirelessly to capture each individual’s personality. There were giggles, goofy poses and even a few tears, but in the end everyone walked away with a memorable snapshot of their school year. Siblings and families were not left out. “Love is the true spirit of Christmas” This year’s Christmas Program dubbed “The Nativity Story Retold” promised to be one for the books and it delivered!  The program was held in 2 sessions: Preschool Programme which took place at The VGS Multi-purpose Hall at 8:30am and the Primary/ Secondary Programme which took place at the school field at 6:30pm. The Secondary School Music Department started the evening off with a beautiful musical performance, filling the air with soothing sounds of Christmas.  The rest of the evening was filled with more amazing musical and dance performances by our talented students from the primary department. The rains threatened to bring the programme to a premature end but God being so good, it only drizzled for a little while. Our amazing audience stayed with us and the programme continued as scheduled, with a sectioned play by all classes; “The Nativity Story Retold”   The night ended with a special message to everyone in Ghana to maintain peace and unity as the General Elections drew near. Health Walk and Family Day at the VGS

We recently held a fun and exciting Health Walk and Family Day event at our school, and it was a blast! We had an excellent turnout, with students, parents, and teachers all coming together to promote healthy lifestyles and connect with each other. The day kicked off with our Health Walk, where participants took a leisurely stroll around the beautiful Abelemkpe vicinity, enjoying the fresh air and each other’s company. It was an excellent opportunity to stay active and unwind from the week’s stress. After the walk, we headed back to the school grounds for a fun-filled Family Day. We had some exciting games and activities lined up for parents, students, and teachers to enjoy together. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with laughter, fun, and a sense of community spirit. We’re grateful to everyone who came out to support the event, and we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!
